As we age, soft tissue in the face degenerates, resulting in a thinning of the skin and a loss of firmness, plumpness and elasticity. This leads to sagging, sinking and a general flattening of facial features.

filler_b Before Restylane®

Loss of volume in the face causes greater prominence of wrinkles and furrows, as well as blood vessels and bone structures.
FOREHEAD
Horizontal lines across the forehead and vertical lines between the eyebrows become more pronounced. EYES
Eyebrows droop and hollows form under the eyes – creating a tired appearance.
CHEEKS
Cheeks become hollow, sunken and sagging.
MOUTH AND LIPS
Nasolabial folds become more prominent. Lips become thinner and the Cupid's bow loses definition. Marionette lines and pre-jowl depressions deepen beside the mouth.
JAWLINE
The jawline loses definition. Sagging skin and fat displacement can lead to the formation of jowls.
CHIN
The chin can appear to shrink and droop.

filler_a After Restylane®

Restylane adds volume, helping you to look fresher and more youthful, or to shape your facial features to create a more distinctive personal appearance.
FOREHEAD
Restylane can ease the lines across the forehead and between the eyebrows.
EYES
Restylane can give an eyebrow lift and fill hollows under the eyes. Restylane can also smooth away fine, superficial lines in the eye area.
CHEEKS
Adding volume with Restylane can create the appearance of more prominent cheekbones or smoother cheek contours.
MOUTH AND LIPS
Restylane can be used to minimize nasolabial folds, to add plumpness to lips, or to improve lip border volume for better definition.
JAWLINE
Restylane can increase volume to firm and define the jawline.
CHIN
Restylane can increase the size of the chin and lift any signs of drooping. Just a small amount of volume can make a difference.

Surgery can help tighten the skin and botulinum toxin injections can relax facial muscles to release dynamic wrinkles,
but neither can replace lost volume. With Restylane® and Juvederm® products, you can ensure the most effective
solution for restoring volume reducing the signs of aging and helping you look fresher and more youthful.

EFFECTS OF LOST VOLUME

• Forehead lines and nasolabial folds become prominent
• Eyebrows droop
• Lips become thinner and the Cupid‘s bow loses definition
• Marionette lines and pre-jowl depressions deepen beside the mouth
• Wrinkles, furrows, blood vessels and bone structures become more visible

When the appropriate filler is recommended for you, it is injected into the skin; the result is increased volume –
softening wrinkles and folds on the face. Increased volume can create facial fullness
and symmetry, enhance certain facial features, and lessen the signs of aging.
Filler products feature different gel particle sizes that are utilized for different effects
and purposes – from eliminating tiny lines to enhancing facial contours.
Your aesthetic physician will choose the right product combination to create the look you desire.

Both Restylane and Juvederm particles are composed of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance already present
in the human body.

Restylane and Juvederm are fully biocompatible and treatments can be carried out immediately, with
no need to wait for allergy testing. Treatments usually take around 30 minutes and effects
generally last for about six months to a year.
